Expectations vs. Actions
I decided to transform my expectations of actions into a piece of art contrasting people who watch others accomplish goals, and people who go out and chase their dreams. I changed my viewpoint to expectations versus actions. I want to convey the differences by using sunglasses because when I think of glasses and how people eyes aren’t shown through the lenses, prevent others from seeing the real person inside. The visual help portrays what people are expected to do and whether or not if they’re going to do it, opposed to my original blog post which consisted of what actions are expected at certain times.
I still believe that there is a time and place for everything, but this visual has deeper meaning. It depicts what everyone goes through in life, and separates the average people from the people who want to do something big in their lives. My audience for this piece is mainly directed to high school students because in this time of our lives we all know what we’re in school for. Everyone knows that they need to maintain a high GPA to get into a respectable college. In class, there are students who put forth their best foot and others who slack, but we all know what’s right from wrong. It’s just a matter of whether or not we will do the right thing.
